Christmas was not very exciting, just lunch a my parents place. Smaller gathering because my sisters and one of my cousins was overseas. For New Years Mel and I went to Venus Bay to stay at Andrew’s holiday house. Al, Prue and Mark were also there. We played a few games of cards, played some bocce, and drank a few beers. We also had some fun with Andrew’s new toy.
Today my dad and I drove up to Maryborough to check out a second hand Defender. I had a 200km manual driving lesson. I’m not to bad, hard to get out of a 10 year automatic habit. We took the Defender for a bit of a bush bash, it was pretty good fun. Don’t think I’ll be purchasing the vehicle though; the body and engine were good, but it was a bit banged up on the inside cause the previous owner used it a bit for work. It also had a few Kms. Pity all the other second-hand Defenders are in different states.
